These are open archives. The work is ongoing. In general, selections from more recent years are being added before those from earlier times. On completion, the archive should include work as far back as the late 1940s, early 1950s.
All proceeds from purchases and licenses, where applicable, will go directly to a scholarship fund for photography and master of journalism students in the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University.
Each photograph in the Ed Trayes Photo Archives at Temple University is accompanied by a series of purchase or licensing options. One is for prints, another is for cards, and the third for a commercial or other download.
Where charges apply, payment will be by credit card. There is a broad selection of print sizes, styles, finishes and formats, including gallery style canvas-wrapped photographs. These do not require framing and can go right on the wall. The card option is for printed images on cards with accompanying envelopes. These, when purchased at nominal prices, can be used in a variety of ways.
Greeting cards are five by seven inches, horizontal or vertical. Options include image cropping, creating text on the card front or inside, or simply going with a selected image and an otherwise blank card. An envelope is included. Flat cards, two-sided, also are five by seven inches. Text options are for either or both sides. An envelope is included. Postcards are 4.5-by-six-inch self-mailers. Text may be added to either side. There is an image-cropping option.
